Patient feedback questionnaires

WOW... you have never asked for feedback.
It is extremely important and the success of the practice depends on it.
The best business are the best,
obviously because they know how to serve and how to fulfill that, but you have to ask.

A lot more practices are becoming aware of that, because the economy is chaning, and competition is everywhere.

And how is the feedback you get from them? Mostly positives, negatives, mixture of both? Do you respond to patients dislikes to change things? And are patients happy to fill them in?

Ho
Yes, we do have regular feed back checks, both from patients and staff.
It is also a part of "the good practice".

Yes, I have heard about the dentist changes.(I went to an information evening)

Does anyone regularly collect patient feedback in their practice and how does it go?

I want to start bringing a patient feedback questionnaire into my place of work, but I think my boss, and work colleagues are a bit worried that it could be opening a can of worms. I can see the positives, as I think some of our staff need to work on their appearance, they can look scruffy at times, and if they actually heard that patients thought the same then we can bring it up at a practice meeting.

This seems like something that we are supposed to be implementing under clinical governance anyway, and I'm more determined to bring it in after I've read that dentists along with doing CPD are likely to start having to present a portfolio of evidence of patient audits, feeback etc, every 5 year cycle, starting in 2011.

Has anyone else heard about this new scheme that the GDC may be implementing for dentists?
