GDC Registration

I find this really strange???? I passed the national in 2006 after completing 2 years chair side, as my dentist wanted us to complete this before sitting an exam, I later left to work in a bank due to child care, I was out of the system for 3 years, after having my second child I wanted to do something part time, so applied back dental nursing to which I got the job and have been there nearly 3 years, I had no problem getting on to the register, we're you on the register before having the break??? As I know once you have been off for a while it takes time to get back on to it

Hi, I am looking for some advice and/or other people experiences regarding registration with the GDC. I passed the NEBDSA in 1995, worked for several years but didn't register as it wasn't a requirement then. I had some time out to raise my family but recently returned. I have just been told that I am unable to register as my qualification is no longer recognized.

I am challenging this and wondered if anyone has any experience with this or has had a decision overturned? I am aware of at least one person but would obviously like to build a case. Thanks
