Hi Theresa

There is a recent article that has been published which reports on children's preferences regarding ambience in the waiting room.

You can view the abstract here:

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25249336

Hope this will provide you with some helpful information.

Hi Chrissiepx

Thanks for the input, we do have books colouring sheets and pencils, some toys but im in the process of removing these as we cross infection they have to be cleaned on daily basis. I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the dental providers ie colgate, oral b etc provide bits and pieces for children they did used to when i 1st went into dentistry in the late 80s but they must have honed back on all that as i cant see anything now?

Hi guys

I was wondering if someone can help me here, I work for a one man practice in east anglia, We have recently emptied our suggestion box and there were some suggestions in asking if we can introduce something in the waiting room to aid the anxious child before exams/ treatment.
Being Head Nurse of 3, I have been given the task to think of something and my minds gone blank.
Does anyone have any ideas that would help me??

Thanks
Theresa
