Quality Assurance

What do you mean by quality Assurance?
An outside person used to check ours ,it may have been yearly, but I don't remember now,I will see if my practice manager remembers .
Before we changed to digital we used to do a step wedge test every morning ,and develop it .to check the machine was working ,and to see if it needed changing,(although we used to change the fix and Dev every fortnight regardless

Just wondering if anyone knew the legal requirements on how often you have to perform a quality assurance test on your x-ray developer?
