Need matrix retainer help - please!

They can be very fiddley! You have maybe missed the back thread its hard to describe.what I could do if it'd help is send photos in order of what to do? If that'd help. If so let me know and I'll send my email.

So i'm still a trainee and recently got moved in with a dentist. I'm trying to master loading matrix retainers. But when it comes to loading the siqveland type, i am following all the instructions, and the retainer looks fitted with the band properly, but when the adjustment screw is tightened or loosened, it doesn't seem to alter the matrix band loop at the top at all, it just stays the same! I don't understand what i am doing wrong??
