Hep B vaccine

9 years 2 months ago #6890 by Max
There seems to be conflicting issues in regard to Hep B and also BCG

It would be good if someone would come on board with what is needed and also how you convince Occ Health and any other body you ask.

The response I have had is you have had HepB & boosters so there is no need to have any more

Below taken from NHS site
BCG vaccination is rarely given to anyone over the age of 16 - and never over the age of 35, because it doesn't work very well in adults. It is, however, given to adults aged between 16 and 35 who are at risk of TB through their work, such as some healthcare workers.

Have you spoken to occupational health? They may be able to advise.

Hi, Does anyone know if the Hep B booster is now mandatory? I know that we haven't had to have it in past years, but have just had a cross infection course and the lady running it said that boosters are now needed. The dentist I work with doesn't know anything about it and said he hasn't had a booster for over 10 years! Advice please :o)
