i have tried twice to do the sedation course at Manchester uni and have found it so hard, the portfolio was fine, but the exam (oral, practical and written) on the day i felt like they was talking another language to me :(

Passed my Radiography no probs the year before so maybe it had something to do with moving house, juggling a 4 year old and living with my mother-in law ??? maybe i should try one more time 3rd time lucky......

I have done the course at Kings and i think that if you have had a lot of sedation experience doing IS and watching IV's then the course is easier to understand. it is not worth trying to do it over the net as the support at college is invaluable.

Dentrain are teaching the sedation. You get well supported. You can talk to your tutor upto 9.00 each night and at weekends - you wouldn't get that kind of support at a college. one to one tutition.
i believe the Oral health is the hardest course!

NOWAY..........go to college to do it, the tutor support is so worth it. It is hard, one of the hardest courses I have done.

You need to know about half lifes, cannulation, BP all sorts really, look on the NEBDN website, it tells you all you need to know

Any tips about the course content?

Would you say it is doo-able over t'internet?

I have heard the exam is incredibly hard? even compared to the Radiography courses examination?

Hi, I have done the full course at Kings College, London. It is hard work and you certainly need to be prepared to gove up alot of your time to ensure your portfolio is completed.

I would recommend anyone doing the course, its fab :woohoo:
