Hi there nmiller
You must have a head nurse or a mentor at your practice who has been assigned to you for help with your training??. This is the person who should be helping you. I have a trainee who is almost finished her course and I have given up my Thursday lunch break to have time with her when we are both free to answer Qs and help with portfolio etc.
Also your tutors on your course should always be on hand to help.

Hope this helps

Hi I'm new to this and new to nursing. I'm currently doing college work whilst working in a busy practice. I find it hard to do the college work as never get time to ask anyone to help and the practice is full of trainees. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I feel like I'll fail my exam because I can't learn this way.

Hi Nadine,

This was something our tech team put on hold because there is no demand for it as very few of the nurses registered with us actually use the forum.

Many thanks

I didn't expect people have time to chat during the day that would be stupid. I was thinking more in the evening if people have things they want to ask or talk about, its easier to do it live rather than wait days/weeks for a response.

hahahah just wondering how often you will get nurses being able to chat live?. I for one don't get 5 mins normally and when I do there are always stocking/decon jobs to do. its a good idea but in practice? not sure

That would be great, sometimes forum conversations can get a bit long inbetween posting!

What about (at some point) some seperation of subject? Like sessions or 'rooms' focussed on certain topics?

;)
