Forcep help!?

Hey everybody. Just wondering if anybody could give me advice on forceps. I need more of a better understanding of them. I handed a dentist a forcep for a lower pre molar. How she told me that’s not a pre molar forcep! The forcep was a curved c shape with smoother tips?? Im also not sure, is it the lower forceps or upper forceps where it doesn’t matter if it’s for the left or right? I would appreciate if anyone could give me advice thank you! I’ve included the picture of the forcep I gave to the dentist, if anyone could tell me if it was the wrong one!
