These employers are rarely celebrated or shown any appreciation, but at a time where we are crying out for more recognition for our own hard work, it’s time we return the favour to those who treat us so well. 

Raising concerns at work as a dental nurse can be a daunting task for some, yet it should be the easiest thing we do. Whether it’s because you’re afraid of confrontation, or you find yourself bogged down by extra unnecessary details while you have a meltdown or panic, there are a few steps you can take that will give you the confidence to make it a much easier process.

There are many things to look for when searching for dental nursing jobs, and a good employer is one of the most important aspects that you need to consider. But what makes a good employer, and what can you expect from them?

Starting my journey in dental nursing a decade ago, I didn't foresee the incredible adventure it would become. Dentistry wasn't even initially on my radar. At 18, I was navigating the retail world, unsure of where life would take me. It was a chat with my now mother-in-law, a dental hygienist, that got me thinking about dental nursing. So, with a sense of curiosity, I took the plunge. And here I am, ten years later.

Social media makes up a large part of our day-to-day lives, and many dental nurses (as well as other professionals) will use it to find their community of like-minded individuals; people with whom they can converse about their industry, share the latest news, and even vent about their bad days at work.
